This past while has been challenging AF. You may feel overwhelmed and like you’re spinning out...

Or perhaps you’ve been caught up in the expectations or obligations. If the stress and overwhelm of the energy of the times have been getting you down, I’m here to say you are not alone. AND…

You are a badass JOY WARRIOR!

If you’ve been bogged down and feel beaten up, now is the time to dust yourself off, stand up and mind your light.

There are no accidents. Your soul chose to be here at this time! And you have a massive opportunity to inspire and lead with love.

I see you. I know how hard it’s been. And, I want to remind you that you have everything within you that you need to move through these times and shine. You are a MF-ing Joy Warrior! A magical manifestation machine! Ready to reclaim your superpowers? LET’S FRIGGEN DO THIS!

We are at an energetic choice point and in case you need a nudge, I want to say: You are more powerful than you know! It’s time to mind your energy and IGNITE YOUR LIGHT! 💫

Come back to yourself, settle into your heart.

Stay a while. There you are. The you that just IS.

How often do you connect to the brilliance of your you-ness? When was the last time you thanked yourself for being?

Put your hand to your heart, close your eyes and thank you.

You deserve self love, self care, self celebration. All of the things you desire begin within you. Come back and settle in. There you are.

Do you give yourself space?

Are you giving yourself the space to align with joy? 

I've been noticing where I resist space. It's as though stopping and slowing down scares me. I've realised it's because if I give myself space, I might see where I'm out of alignment. If I see where I'm out of alignment, things might blow up. I'll have to make hard decisions, have hard conversations, and change things.  

This is why I resist space. When I look at the emotional guidance scale, I can see that these are fear based reasons. They assume it’s bad for things to fall apart. 

The truth is, things falling apart often allows them to come back together in alignment. 

Recently, I gave myself space and my fears were confirmed. Things fell apart. And in falling apart it allowed me to release what's no longer in alignment. I had honest conversations and I made honest decisions. I gave myself space and I got honest with myself and others. It was uncomfortable but I feel so much better! It made room for so much more abundance in my life and my business. 

If you’re feeling out of sorts with your life, business, work or relationships, give yourself some room to notice what’s really going on. Create space to feel into what is not aligned so you can get back into harmony with what is. 

Fear will keep us away from too much time for ourselves. Love knows it's the best thing we can do for ourselves. 

Where I once felt stress, I feel joy, where I felt forceful, I feel ease, where I felt overwhelmed. I feel peace.

Release Unhelpful Stories About You

The biggest lesson I’ve learned recently is to detach from an unhelpful story.

Someone else’s story doesn’t have to be your story! This was my biggest takeaway as I did my alignment review in The Daily Joy Journal. What stories are you buying into that aren’t true about you?

If we don’t buy into the story then we don’t have to react in defense. Can you release what’s not true and step into the truth of who you are— Joy, peace and love and feel good about yourself? It’s time to celebrate all of your beautiful qualities.

Drama will deplete you, step into your truth and ignite your light. This will expand your energy and support you in feeling so much better.

Release untrue stories and mind your light Joy-beam! 💫

The Antidote to Stress


the Antidote to stress

Stress spins are a form of self-sabotage. They often happen when we allow our inner critic to drive the Joy bus. Want to live a better life? Invite your highest self to drive the bus instead. How? Here's a quick exercise to try:

5 ways to feel better if you're in a stress spin:

1 - Ask yourself what you are stressed about. Clarity is everything! 

2 - Make a "stress" list and give yourself space to get it out. 

3 - Next, create a "peace" list. On this list write down all of the inspired actions that will support you in feeling better.

4 - Once complete, look at your list and schedule your inspired actions to move toward peace.

5 - Feel proud AF knowing you are a Joy Warrior taking accountability for designing a life you feel good about.

Whether it's a conversation, an email, a decision. Whatever it is, stress is telling you to do it. Do the thing and celebrate yourself as you feel better and better. This is what it looks like to align with Joy.

Feeling better takes work. Want to feel better? This is the work. The inner critic will keep us VERY far away from peace. Worse, it often has us believe it's impossible. Invite in your highest self instead. Peace is often one inspired action away.

Bring yourself flowers!

My Friend,

When was the last time you did something nice for you? Not for any reason other than Joy? 

Self-flower buying is one of my fave things to do. Not just because I love flowers but because it feels so good to honour and love myself.

When we start looking at life through the lens of abundance and love we begin to fill up our own Joy tanks. Rather than relying on things or people outside of us, we have the opportunity to experience what it feels like to show ourselves love and care.This is powerful shit!

What would your life look like if you gave yourself everything you are waiting for someone to give you? Permission, love, acceptance ….flowers!

You deserve all of the things you are seeking. Honour yourself. Love yourself. Splurge on the thing you don’t really need. Why? To prove to yourself that you are worth it. 

No amount of flowers in the world will ever compare to the beauty that lives within...waiting to be honoured by you.

Hello Friend,

Saying “no” isn’t always easy. So many of us sacrifice ourselves in order to avoid creating upset.⠀⠀⠀⠀

As a recovered people-pleaser, I know how hard it can be to risk disappointing others. I really (I mean REALLY) get it! I also know that saying “no” is required when it comes to living an aligned life that feels good.

Where do you fall on the “no” scale? Do you drop them like they’re hot? Is it challenging for you?

When you say no to something that doesn’t feel right, you say yes to your soul. Feel those words.

Boundaries are such an important part of honouring ourselves. So much so that I call them Joy Protection!

It’s not always easy to change ingrained behaviors. Start by paying attention to how you feel when you are making decisions. Awareness is everything. Honour yourself where you’re at while noticing…

Are you giving yourself space?

My Friend,

Are you giving yourself space? Do you have any room to just BE? 

I've been noticing where I resist space. It's as though stopping and slowing down scares me.

Recently I was able to sit with my fear around space and here’s what it told me…

Fear said: “If you give yourself too much space you might realize where you’re out of alignment. If you realize where you’re out of alignment, things might blow up. You’ll have to make hard decisions, have hard conversations, and change things. These are the reasons you resist space”, fear said. 

Fear assumes things falling apart is a bad thing. Love knows that falling apart allows things to come back together in alignment.

Does this resonate with you at all? Are you going full throttle in your life to avoid the subtle messages that await you in stillness?

Recently I gave myself space and my fears were confirmed. And, in falling apart, it allowed me to release what was no longer in alignment. I had honest (hard) conversations. I made honest (hard) decisions. I gave myself space and got honest with myself and others and guess what happened. I got back in alignment. 

Where I once felt stress, I now feel peace. Where I felt forceful and confused, I feel ease. 

Fear will keep us away from space. Love knows it's the best thing we can do for ourselves. Creating regular space for ourselves allows us to feel better and align with Joy. It also makes it harder to get too far off track.

I know because I practice it every single day.
