What Comes To Mind When You Think Of The Word BALANCE?

I'm consistently reminded that balance is a dance. While at times I may move gracefully, other times might involve a mosh pit, swaying gently to classical or perhaps I'm bashing around like Elaine Benes. The point is, just like everything else, it ebbs and flows. The more I notice my patterns the more I feel like the key really is to approach all of it with compassion, check in regularly and give myself some slack. Couldn't you also use some slack?

Today I give you permission to be exactly where you are. Look at how far you’ve come!

It may not be balanced. But it is where you are. For one moment, can you turn inward and honour the ways in which you’ve grown? Appreciate the ideas and desires that have flourished.

Today I am open to experiencing balance.

If you find it challenging to come up with a list, here are some prompts to write about:

  • something that made you smile or laugh
  • a recent learning experience
  • a person in your life
  • a time you were able to help another person,
  • someone who did something nice for you,
  • a recent accomplishment, or
  • one of my go-to's – breath! I'm always thankful for breath.
