Thrive Accounting

A brand that finally feels like the business behind it.

Brand Strategy ยท Brand Identity Design

THE STARTING POINT

A business with heart. A brand that wasn't quite capturing it.

Staci Millard had built Thrive Accounting around a clear vision for doing things differently. Her business was rooted in genuine care, meaningful relationships, and a belief that accounting could feel approachable, empowering, and human.

But while that experience came naturally to Staci and her team, their visual identity wasn't telling the same story.

She'd invested in professional branding before, yet something always felt disconnected. The designs looked polished, but they didn't capture the warmth, personality, or energy that made Thrive special.

Staci wasn't looking to reinvent her business. She wanted a brand that finally felt like the one she'd already built.

THE COLLABORATION

We didn't need to reinvent Thrive. We needed to see it differently.

Staci knew her business inside and out. She'd answered the branding questions before, articulated her values, and spent years creating a client experience she believed in.

So rather than starting with another surface-level discovery process, we went deeper.

We explored the story behind Thrive, the relationships Staci had built, and the four pillars guiding her work: Easy, Accessible, Inspired, and Partnership.

We talked about how she wanted her clients, affectionately known as Thrivers, to feel when working with her. And we looked for ways to translate that feeling into a visual identity that was warm, confident, and unmistakably Thrive.

The goal wasn't to create something different for the sake of being different. It was to uncover what was already there and give it a visual expression that felt right.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS

THE CREATIVE PROCESS ยท

  • Brand Strategy

We started with Thrive's values, personality, and the experience Staci wanted to create. Those conversations established a clear creative direction, one that balanced professional expertise with the warmth and approachability at the heart of her business.

  • Visual Identity

I explored typography and logo concepts in black and white first, allowing us to focus on the forms and feeling of the identity before introducing colour. From there, I developed a warm, vibrant visual language that brought more personality and energy to the brand.

  • A Meaningful Brand Mark

At the centre of the identity was an idea that beautifully captured Staci's work: clean the window so they can see clearly. I translated that concept into a brand mark representing the clarity, perspective, and forward movement Thrive helps create for its clients.

  • A Cohesive Brand Experience

We also considered how the identity could extend beyond the logo, creating consistency across the website and the many touchpoints that shape a client's experience, from their first discovery call through onboarding and beyond.

A fresh expression of everything Thrive stands for.

A warm, vibrant identity that brings together Thrive's personality, values, and commitment to making accounting feel more approachable.

THE TRANSFORMATION

Finally, a brand that feels like Thrive.

Thrive now has a visual identity that reflects the business Staci has worked so hard to build.

It's warm, approachable, and full of personality, without losing the professionalism, clarity, and expertise her clients trust.

More importantly, Staci has a brand she can recognize herself in. One that feels aligned with her values, communicates the care behind her work, and gives Thrive a cohesive foundation for continued growth.

She didn't need to change her vision or become someone different to get here. The heart of Thrive was there all along.

We simply found a way to bring it into focus.

โ€œI really felt seen.โ€

โ€œIโ€™d had professional branding before, but it didnโ€™t connect to who we are. Every time I sent something out it felt like walking out in the wrong clothes. Iโ€™ve been through the branding process many times and Iโ€™ve answered the same questions over and over, but Jillian saw it and understood it differently. She wasnโ€™t asking questions just to ask them. She really wanted to get the essence and the feeling. She came up with different concepts, and was truly invested in getting it right. I really felt seen by it. You can feel how much she cares.โ€
